Camberwell RSL members can enjoy the support of a growing community of like-minded individuals with shared experiences. We can facilitate access to a range of support services, offering a judgement free environment for Veterans to open up about challenges they’re facing; as well as advocacy services for those negotiating with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

ADVOCACY

Camberwell RSL provides advocacy assistance to members through claims with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), along with assistance in the appeal process if required. Our team understands the complexities of the claims process, how the legislation applies to a Veteran’s individual circumstances.

WELFARE SUPPORT

50% OF THE MONEY COLLECTED AT OUR ANNUAL REMEMBRANCE DAY AND ANZAC DAY SERVICES IS ALLOCATED TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO VETERANS, WIDOWS, DEPENDENTS OR EX-ADF MEMBERS WHO MAY BE EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.

WELLBEING EXPENSES

We can help cover the cost of doctors visits, therapy and Support services, and mobility product replacement.

HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES

Such as rental arrears, security bonds, overdue utilities accounts and the replacement of faulty whitegoods.

OTHER LIVING EXPENSES

We can provide financial support to help meet the cost of school fees, vehicle repairs, and removalist costs.
